Re: Checkout Terms & Conditions text change
Cheers. I found the following text:
$_['text_agree'] = 'I have read and concur to the <a onclick="window.open(\'%s\');"><b>%s</b></a>';
in the guest_step_2.php file.
What in this code creates the box and requires it to be checked? I want to remove the box and its requirement.
Thanks again,
Mike

Re: Checkout Terms & Weather text modify
If you're wanting to remove the whole box, yous need to edit
/catalog/view/theme/your-theme-name/template/checkout/guest_step_2.tpl

Re: Checkout Terms & Conditions text change
Thanks for the respond.
The line I mentioned in my first mail service was institute in that file. Withal, tin can you tell me what part of the line removes the box? Also, do you know what controls the fact that I get a bulletin if I don't check the box? I am thinking that even if I remove the box I will still get an error message if I don't find a way to cease requiring the box to be checked in the starting time place.
Cheers,

Re: Checkout Terms & Conditions text change
Anyone accept whatever further help on this or is information technology required to click the "I have read the terms and conditions" checkbox?

Re: Checkout Terms & Conditions text change
Y'all can disable the message altogether in the admin panel: System > settings > pick > checkout message:none.
All the same, I know you wish to remove the tickbox but go out the message. You can find the code for the message and checkbox at catalog/view/theme/YOUR-THEME/template/checkout/guest_step_2.tpl and /payment.tpl (look for "checkbox"). Withal, at that place is some PHP wrapped around the checkbox code, so it would require some editing to become the message to show without the checkbox, and without the error message being called.
If I knew how to assist with that, I would practise so. Peradventure a PHP guru tin spare time to help, or y'all could use trial and error until you lot become it to work
Proficient luck.
Re: Checkout Terms & Weather text change
Moggin,
Thank you very much! Just and then I don't mess anything up, are there any other checkout letters that I would Desire to show upwards that I would end up removing if I exercise as you suggested?
Thank you,

Re: Checkout Terms & Weather text change
ah, that's a 'how long is a piece of string?' question!
The only official suggestion I offer is to alter the checkout bulletin in the admin panel to 'none' . The other choices are 'About U.s.a.' and 'Privacy Policy' - and any other information page y'all create. You can re-enable them any fourth dimension y'all like. No error messages should issue from this.
Just you tin can also remove the checkbox code, and tinker with the PHP wrapped around information technology...I won't own this equally a suggestion, because if information technology goes wrong I don't take the know-how to dig you out! I'chiliad but saying - that'south where to edit. Certainly, if you do remove it, you can't then enable any messages from the admin console.
(For info, and in case you haven't seen information technology- nosotros're advised to go along the default intact and create a new theme when amending the templates.)
Re: Checkout Terms & Atmospheric condition text change
If y'all simply want to change the cheque out terms and conditions details.
get to catalog>information>terms&weather condition. and edit the details you want to exercise.
to change the page on the check out. got to system>setting>options>checkout. There you can modify the page by selecting the page y'all added in information.
Your well wisher
