I avoid Bible prophecy similar the plague. Pun intended. Information technology is just so confusing, and quite frankly, non that interesting. Todd Hampson has written and illustrated this simplified guide for all of us who dislike the subject. Unlike a previous reviewer, I don't remember that this is necessarily for new Christians. As jerry-built every bit the subject area is in this book, information technology is still overwhelming.This is not the type of book y'all read straight through. I recommend reading a couple of pages and letting it assimilate. I had to re-read a few sections. This is a book to study and come back to.

Although I have done a bit of studying on biblical prophesy in the past, I never really found a resource that tied it all together or described it in a way that was meaningful to me. This book, notwithstanding, was different. Filled with diagrams, charts, drawings, timelines, (and even humorous cartoons!) this book brings a weighty topic to life and makes information technology fun to larn virtually. This is definitely not to say that the subject of the end times is treated with irreverence or glossed over as something to joke about - on the contrary, I gained more than agreement and grasped the meanings of so many prophesies that had never fabricated sense to me before. In improver, I found the volume instilled a sense of hope, equally God's plans for the future became a beautiful issue to look forward to with anticipation rather than disinterest or dread.
There is SO much information packed into the 224 pages of "The Non-Prophet's Guide to the End Times", only I will share with you simply a few of my favorite (and what I considered virtually eye-opening) discussions: Specific Examples of Fulfilled Prophecies; Definitions of Key Terms; The Keys to Watching God'south Plan Unfold; A More Detailed Outline of Revelation; The Signs of Nature; so much more. Throughout the book I was also encouraged to further inquiry central topics for myself, as the author continually urges readers to form their own opinions through deeper study.
If you have ever thought there was no way you could understand the puzzle of biblical prophecy for yourself, I strongly encourage y'all to detect a copy of "The Non-Prophet'due south Guide to the Finish Times" and begin a study of this perspective-altering topic. You volition never look at words like "apocalypse" or "tribulation" again! Or, if you accept studied this topic for yourself already, this book is still a wonderful tool that is filled with visual aids and well-researched explanations to assist it come to life even more than.

This certainly was an interesting take for me as I've not read much regarding stop times or prophecy. My married woman asked me to read this with her and I was pleasantly surprised. Nosotros are already interested in the book he wrote regarding Revelation, then that is next on our listing together. Definitely recommended if stop times and prophecy interests you.

In the application sections of the book, this bias likewise comes through, with the author indicating that a item passage teaches something -- where the "something" is actually his interpretation, and that isn't made clear to the reader. For instance, we're told that Ezekiel 38-39 promises an assault on Israel by a Russian-Arab alliance. One might remember the passage spells that out explicitly; withal, the term interpreted as "Russia" may or may non even exist a proper name.
The audience is slightly unclear, with the text seeming, in some places, to exist targeted at non-Christians but, in other places, to assume a level of Scriptural familiarity the average churchgoer lacks. I would have liked it better had it been more conspicuously presented and marketed as an argument for dispensational, pre-trib, premillennialism, rather than coming across equally a semi-objective approach to cease times prophecy in general.

This book is a well written and piece of cake to understand journey through the prophecies in the Bible relating to end times events. The author does an incredible job laying a foundation for understanding prophecy and the reasons for needing to be enlightened of it. If yous're looking for a read that doesn't get weird but lays a slap-up framework to help y'all understand what the Bible is showing us virtually the past, present and future and so this is a must read.

I used this ebook in conjunction with the video. The video sessions did not sequence well with the volume. The last session was a bit of a bust. Some of the predictions were a scrap iffy. I used this for a study and the topic was great, the overall concept was easy to grasp and our group enjoyed the report, only it was a lot of work making this successful.
A concise reading of what was, is and still to come in God's plan. Very conceivable even so the complexity of the subject field requires more than study. An excellent outline
